IRHIS Project Publishes Key Report on Remote Care Innovation Across Europe

The IRHIS project has reached an important milestone with the publication of its first deliverable:

“Mapping of Remote Care Innovation – Recommendations to Stakeholders”.

This publicly available report presents a detailed overview of the current landscape of Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) across Europe, with a particular focus on identifying disparities between more and less developed regions (LDRs). The mapping includes analysis of innovation ecosystems, regulatory frameworks, technology adoption levels, and infrastructure readiness.

Prepared through collaborative efforts across the IRHIS consortium, the report incorporates the results of extensive desk research and 22 expert interviews with stakeholders in healthcare, policy, research, and industry.

Key highlights of the deliverable include:

  • A comparative analysis of RPM maturity across European regions.

  • Identification of challenges limiting adoption in LDRs.

  • Good practices and innovation models from leading regions.

  • Strategic recommendations for policymakers, healthcare providers, and innovators to support the scale-up of remote care solutions.

This deliverable provides an evidence-based foundation for future actions within the IRHIS project, which aims to support the scaling and demonstration of eight AI-powered MedTech solutions through regional DemoScale Labs.
